About Our Pottery Classes
Our Pottery Studio offers pottery wheel and hand-building classes for students of all skill levels. Classes are ages 16 & up unless otherwise specified in our class schedule. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter sessions available.
We also offer Private Pottery Wheel Lessons and Monthly Studio Memberships in addition to our adult pottery classes!

Class Schedule: Winter/Spring 2021
We are not currently offering classes due to Covid-19.
We hope to resume offering classes in Fall 2021.
Try It Out: Pottery Wheel, $50
Instructors: Tom Wright and Ashley Wright
Try out the potter’s wheel and learn the basic techniques of making wheel-thrown pottery in this two-hour class. We will discuss the process of making pottery, from wet clay to a finished piece. Perfect for those not ready to commit to a six-week class or just looking for a fun, evening activity. Includes instruction, 2 lbs. of clay, and all necessary tools. Pottery created in the class will be ready for pick up 2-3 weeks later. No experience required.
Beginner Pottery Wheel, $185
Instructor: Pete Henschel
During this six-week introductory class, learn the basic steps and techniques of creating wheel-thrown pottery. Each week, the instructor will present a new technique or skill and students will have time to create for the remainder of the class. Projects include mugs, bowls, and small plates. Fee includes 25 pounds of clay, glaze, and firing. No prior pottery experience necessary. Students will receive open studio time for practice during the final three weeks of class.
Introduction to Handbuilding, $165
Instructor: Kate Learn
Students will learn the basics of hand-building with clay and complete projects such as boxes, slab plates, and tiles. Students will be introduced to clay terminology and learn about types of clay, firing, and glazes. No prior pottery experience necessary. Includes expert instruction, 25 lbs. of clay, glaze, firing, and all necessary tools. Six-week long session. 1.5 hours of instruction per week. Includes open studio hours for practice.
