What Is Senior Care?
As people get older, they need more help to handle the activities of daily life, and they may need a little extra help monitoring their health and well-being. Our senior care program gives seniors a safe place to come during the day where they will get that help, along with fun activities to do with their friends. This helps protect their physical and mental health while also keeping them active.
At our senior care program, we offer a range of services. Seniors come to Providence Center for help with:
- Caring for chronic health needs
- Daily care needs when living with a disability
- Mental health needs that come from living alone
- Basic personal care and wellness checks
- Social activities and events

Potential Risks of Senior Care Programs
At Providence Center, we are dedicated to providing high-quality care and health monitoring to all the seniors who come to our center, but not all programs are created equal. As you look for a senior care option for yourself or a loved one, make sure you look carefully. Some of the risks of a poorly-managed senior care program include:
- Inappropriate nutrition
- Poor physical and personal care
- Abusive behavior
- Neglectful actions
Our dedicated team of senior care professionals delivers high-quality care to every senior who visits our center. We care about each individual who walks through our doors, and you can trust us to provide quality care the entire time your senior loved one is with us.

Frequently Asked Questions About Senior Care
Why does a senior need a senior daycare center?
Many seniors are at risk for loneliness, which can lead to problems with depression and anxiety when they are aging at home. Senior daycare centers provide interaction with others, help with personal care needs, and the oversight of senior care specialists that can alert the senior’s family if more help is needed.
What kinds of things do seniors do at the senior care center?
At our senior care center, we provide a range of interesting and engaging activities. It’s not uncommon to find our seniors participating in craft classes, coming together to play games, participating in exercise classes, or even taking a day trip into town to see some of the local sights.
How can a senior get to the senior care center?
Our staff will arrange transportation from the senior’s home to the Providence Center, if needed. We believe that transportation should never be a barrier to getting the care you need.
