Providence Greenhouses provides vocational training for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a working nursery. The people in our Greenhouses are continuously gaining in-depth knowledge of horticulture and are building the valuable professional skills necessary for community employment. Not only are the people in our Greenhouses program learning how to grow and sustain beautiful plants native to Maryland, but they are also gaining job training that provides the skills needed to achieve greater independence.

Environmental Restoration in the Chesapeake Bay Region
Our Greenhouses team is contributing to our community through important environmental restoration projects, including the rebuilding of Poplar Island in the Chesapeake Bay. By participating in our horticulture program, people at Providence are making the environment a greener, happier place.

Providence Greenhouses has worked with a number of prestigious organizations and companies in Maryland to meet their larger-scale commercial growing needs, including the Army Corps of Engineers, Dominion Energy, Anne Arundel Community College, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and Maryland Therapeutic Riding.
